8 Eyeshadow Palettes to Try in 2018!
Can you believe it is January already?
Today I’m sharing 8 of my favorite eyeshadow palettes from 2017 that will definitely be coming with me into 2018. These palettes have been used and abused so I apologize for the mess but I love them so much and absolutely think that you should give them a try.
Whether you are a beginner or a pro, these palettes have beautiful shade ranges, are easy to work with, and are super pigmented. I wanted to add a mix of high-end and less costly palettes so you have a nice selection. Again, these are the palettes I kept reaching for all year long or as soon as I brought them home.
Before you go, comment below and tell me if you have tried any of these eyeshadow palettes or if you have any favorites from 2017 that I should try!
8 Eyeshadow Palettes to Try in 2018:
PUR Pro Etienne Eyeshadow Palette: This palette is a dream, I swear! Not only are the tones gorgeous but guys, the shadows… are SO pigmented! Holy Smokes. I was sold the moment I picked it up and swatched it in the store. I was FLOORED how much product I picked up while barely even touching the shadow pan. The shades are so pigmented and they blend beautifully. I love that they included a few pops of color with the neutral shades. Price $42
The Beauty Crop’s Espresso Yourself Palette: I was almost a bit shocked how much I used this palette in 2017. I did a full review on this so you can see all the swatches here, but seriously I kept picking up this palette over and over again. I am so impressed with the pigments and I think I love it so much because it has such a nice buildable shade range with lots of transition shades. This palette is also home to one of my all time favorite shadow shades ‘pumpkin spiced’. It is easily my favorite crease color and goes with so many different looks. Price $29.90
Maybelline x Shayla City Mini Palette: Is it just me or did drugstore makeup seriously step up their game in 2017? This mini palette is probably the cheapest on this list and I swear the last 5 to 7 times alone I have grabbed this palette every time I have done my makeup. It is perfect for day time or night time. The only thing it is missing [for me personally] is a medium brown transition shade but other than that, if you don’t try this palette you are missing out I swear! I just included this in my Best of Drugstore 2017 so check out the swatches! Price $9
Tartelette Toasted Palette: So this palette got A LOT of rave reviews but then there was also a bit of blah reviews, for me, this is my dream palette. These ?are ?my ? tones?! Tarte’s In The Bloom palette was easily my favorite of 2017 and after I got this palette, I barely touch it. Don’t get me wrong I still love my In the Bloom Palette but the warm tones in this palette crush it for me. The shade range is perfect, there is the perfect amount of shimmer vs matte shades, and of course they blend beautifully. Price $46
Colourpop Shadows: So Colourpop easily makes some of my favorite products. Aside from the fact they are CRAZY affordable and slayed the 2017 makeup game, when they released their pressed shadows, I didn’t know what to do with myself. I wanted to put a palette on this list so I included my newest favorite the My Little Pony Palette but I also absolutely love the iluvsarahii Chic-y palette [click either link to see swatches]. Whether you are a beginner with makeup or a pro, these shadows are amazing. I own about 25 of their pressed shadows so I didn’t want to list them all but you can’t go wrong with their pressed shadows or their super shock shadows. Palette prices range from $10-12 and up.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette: I have to admit, I was a little behind on buying this palette and I’m not sure why I resisted it for so long but once I got it, it was true love. ABH had a pretty rough year in 2017 with their last two shadow palette launches so I’m not sure why they changed the formula from this palette to those two but this palette is amazing. It is a burgundy, neutral toned gem and I love it. These were the first shadows I tried from ABH and I have to say again I don’t know why it took me so long. The way the shadows blend, these are probably some of the best I’ve ever used. The colors are rich and pigmented and if you try an ABH palette in 2018, go for this one. Price $42
Karity Frost Palette: Enough about the neutrals already right? I love this palette! I feel like this shadow punches you in the face with color in the best way possible. Does that make sense? ? Anyways, I did a full review on this palette so I won’t go too heavy on it but you need to check out these swatches! I love adding these shadows to fun night out looks or even casual glam looks. Price $29
Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette: I don’t genuinely don’t know why this palette got so much heat. Don’t get me wrong, it got a ton of love too, but a lot of people tried to knock it and I’m not sure if it was because it had Jaclyn’s name on it or because of Morphe’s name but Morphe palettes and brushes are incredible [in my opinion]. I love the shade range. Like the PUR palette, I love that their is color and neutrals and that there is an even mix of shimmers and mattes. For the full review with swatches click here. Price $38
Bonus: As you know, I’m big on highlighters. Normally, I go for the ABH glow kits or Becca highlighters but this Kylie Wet Set is beautiful! I got this on sale for around $40 or $42 so if you can get it on sale I recommend it!
